Please coordinate requests through and help the following volunteers succeed in these roles:
Harstine Island Community Club Board of Directors – 2020
President – Christopher Blocker
The President shall be the official spokesperson of HICC, shall preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors and members, shall have general supervision of the affairs of the corporation, shall appoint committee chairs and committee members, shall serve as an ex officio member of all committees (the President may elect at ex officio committee participation to other Board Members, except the nominating committee, shall sign checks when the Treasurer is unable to do so, and shall perform such other duties as are incident to the office or are properly required of the President by the Board of Directors.
Vice President – Mindy Deremo
During the absence or disability of the President, the Vice President shall exercise all the functions of the President. Each Vice President shall have such powers and discharge such duties as may be assigned to him or her from time to time by the Board of Directors. The Vice President shall also serve as the Program Chairman, unless the Board designates another person to carry out that function.
Secretary – Benjamin Brodfuehrer
The Secretary shall issue all required notices of meetings, including notices of special meetings of the members and the Board of Directors, shall keep minutes of all meetings, and report them at the next monthly meeting, and shall make such reports and perform such other duties as are incident to the office, or are properly required of the Secretary by the Board of Directors.
Treasurer – Jim Irving
The Treasurer shall have the custody of all monies and securities of HICC and shall keep regular books of account. The Treasurer shall prepare and sign checks for HICC expenses and as may be ordered by the Board of Directors (taking proper vouchers for such disbursements), shall be a member of the Ways and Means Committee, and shall render to the Board of Directors and the members an account of all transactions undertaken as Treasurer and of the financial condition of HICC at each regular meeting. The Treasurer shall perform such other duties as are incident to the office or are properly required by the Board of Directors.
Hall Manager- Lee Strohm- (360) 432-0136
The Hall Manager is responsible for keeping the Hall calendar up to date (Website & Manual calendars). The Hall Manager shall review Hall Rental Rules with renters of private parties, meet people at the Hall to unlock the building and go back after events to ensure the hall is clean and secure. The Hall Manager is responsible for collecting and delivering Hall rental and cleaning deposit monies to the HICC Treasure. They coordinate hall usage between HICC Clubs to ensure fairness and also team up with the person responsible for producing the annual calendar to ensure the events listed on the HICC calendar are correct.
